Remember being a little kid at your family gatherings? How exciting it was to dress up, laugh and enjoy each other's company? From the delicious food, to the games, and of course the stories - we must not forget about the stories. Remember the men of the house in their sharp outfits, and the women of the house looking elegant as ever? But most important of all, remember your mother or grandmother and remember the beautiful dresses she wore? She was always the most beautiful of them all...
Time and time again, Bettie Page Clothing has received several customer requests to recreate looks from their fondest childhood memories, and we would like to help you rekindle them.
Tatyana, co-CEO and designer of Bettie Page Clothing is giving you the opportunity to decide which pieces make it into her next collection. Inspired by the photos you will submit and vote upon, Tatyana will design modern day versions of your favorite pieces. Submit old photos of your parents, grandparents, relatives, etc., in their classic 1940's and 50's fashions for a chance to win many fabulous prizes. Don't have an old photo? No big deal! Rummage through your grandmother's closet and simply take a picture of the dress. Photos must be submitted no later than January 31, 2013. See directions and official contest rules below.
Directions/Rules
Send in all photo submissions to publicrelations@bettiepageclothing.com by January 31, 2013. The subject line should read "Bring it Back Contest - (Insert name of owner or person wearing outfit here).” There is no limit as to how many photos and emails you can send, but please limit one person per email. (i.e. You can send 5 photos of Aunt Ruth in different dresses in one email, and 1 photo of Grandma Jane in another email).
Tatyana will hand select 18 of her favorite photos, based on style, uniqueness and her ability to produce these dresses (dress construction, bead work, embroidery, fabric and fit). Top 18 finalists will be notified via email used to submit the photo. All top 18 finalists will receive gift certificates to Bettie Page Clothing.
The top 18 photos will be uploaded onto Facebook, in which the voting process will take place until March 17, 2013.
Top 6 winners will have a modern-day dress made, inspired from their winning photo, and will receive rights to name the dress. Top 6 winners will also receive a gift certificate to Bettie Page Clothing, along with their winning dress, and a signed photo of Tatyana with the dress personally inscribed to the entrant.
