Once a month, some of the finest musicians and dancers in town gather at a vintage venue called Lee’s Liquor Lounge for Miss Shannon’s Saturday Sock Hop. The Sock Hop is a night of live music, dancing, dance lessons and a great raffle giveaway, sponsored by Bettie Page Clothing itself. In the interest of full disclosure, I happen to be Miss Shannon, and I am also the store manager of Bettie Page Clothing, Mall of America.
Fall is officially here! Us Minnesotans need to dress for the weather and look smashing too. We asked some of our lovely fashion consultants to pick their favorite pieces from out fall/winter line. Jamie chose the Vicki, a sophisticated day look. To ramp up this little black dress she went with the BAIT "Pretty" heels and Tatyana's Drinks On Me clutch. Christine is ready for an afternoon of 50s fashion shopping. She coupled the Gala Butterfly blouse with the Almond skirt.
Every month around 200 dancers and rockabilly music fans descend upon Minneapolis’ legendary live music venue Lee’s Liquor Lounge to attend Miss Shannon’s Saturday Sock Hop. I am Miss Shannon, store manager at the Bettie Page Clothing Store at the Mall of America and I love being able to mix my two passions – jitterbug dance and vintage inspired clothing. I begin each Sock Hop teaching a dance lesson followed by live music from local or national rockabilly, jump blues and swing acts. A vintage vibe runs through the evening with most attendees dressing up for the occasion.

I have been working for Bettie Page Clothing for 5 years and being in a store that sells vintage reproductions, believe you me, I have heard everything from customers, and this question is asked a minimum of twice a day! It makes you start to not like poodles.
Always putting my best sales foot forward, I show them our array of circle skirts with many different colours and prints. I try to explain that this is more of what people actually would wear back then, but
